FUDO BUDDHA

The most powerful of all Buddhas & Main Deity of Samurai Buddhism (Fudo-Shu)

In order to pray to Almighty Fudo Buddha, we conduct unique prayer sessions in Japanese and Sanskrit. These mantras we only teach those who are initiated but for the general public, the simple mantra for Fudo Buddha is "Namu Dai Fudo Butsu" which is a salutation to the Supreme Cosmic Buddha Dainichi as well as His warrior avatar Fudo Buddha. Another easier mantra is "Namo Fudo Buddha" or "Namu Fudo Butsu" or "Namu Fudo-sama" and a slightly more complex version is "Nomaku Sanmanda Bazaradan Kan" or the Sanskrit"Namo Samanta Vajranam". This mantra should be chanted to Almighty Fudo Buddha and if His depiction is not in a temple, you can chant the same mantra to Roshana/Viarocana/Birojana/ Cosmic Buddha or Amida Buddha or Shaka Buddha or Kannon-sama or Jizo-sama -- or even any of the Zenjin Warrior deities like Nio Kongo Rikishi, Bishamonten, Aizen et al. Or else, technically, you can chant the Fudo Mantra to any of the Buddhas as all Buddhas are emanations of Dainichi/ Vairocana -- whose warrior manifestation is Almighty Fudo Buddha. As Fudo Buddha is the Leader of all 13 Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, chanting Namu Dai Fudo Butsu is like simultaneously worshiping all 13 Buddhas and Bodhisattvas which is the most powerful blessings one can possible receive. You can also keep a Butsudan of Buddhist altar in your home where you meditate on Almighty Fudo Buddha (or any of the 13 Buddhas or Bodhisattvas)-- and you embody Fudo Buddha's qualities of strength, alpha energy and resolute power. Always wear a Fudo Buddha pendant or bangle or carry a Fudo Buddha talisman with you at all times and pray to Fudo Buddha/chant His mantra in the morning and at night -- as well as whenever you need Divine energy, guidance and protection. If you already have another Buddha or Bodhisattva, they too can be honored as all are a part of Fudo's Retinue.
